Soundtracks For Visual Novels (Vol. 1)

Unlike my previous album, Soundtracks for Trying Times, the music in this collection actually originated as soundtrack elements. They were comissioned by an artist who goes by the enigmatic name "Argonbolt," and they serve as accompaniment to two of Argonbolt's visual novels. (A visual novel is like a video game, but focused entirely on story, which the viewer clicks through interactively.)

The first, Nibeos, is a supernatural psychological thriller with contrasting themes of brooding darkness and nostalgic hope. Tracks four through seven were written for Nibeos in 2022.

The second, Volt, is a sociological sci-fi adventure that explores the dark complexity of human nature on an alien world. Tracks one through three were written for Volt in 2024.

I enjoyed the hell out of writing and recording these pieces. Argonbolt's taste and reference tracks made for thoroughly joyful listening, study, and inspiration. I'm excited to finally share these with the world in a strictly auditory capacity.
